The Corydoras schultzei is a rare "black" color variant of the common schultzei, displaying a dark to black-colored body with rust or maroon fins. Although commonly referred to as Black Venezuelans, they are not from Venezuela, but indigenous to Peru. The variant was developed in Germany in the 90s.
Corydoras Schultzei is a peaceful schooling fish that should be kept in groups of 6 or more and are compatible with most community fish. They are classic bottom feeders and should be fed quality sinking foods (like our Blackworm Buckshot blackworm sinking pellets).
Can tolerate a wide-variety of water parameters (pH 6.5 - 7.5 pH).
Max size approximately 3".
They are a delightful fish that would be a benefit to most community aquariums and nano tanks.
